Great Barrier Reef Series Wins Televisual Bulldog Award for Specialist Factual

David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef has won in the Specialist Factual category of the Televisual Bulldog Awards 2016, the latest in an impressive run of critical accolades. In this series, viewers are treated to a perspective on the Great Barrier Reef that has never been seen before, with unprecedented access to some of the most remote parts of the Reef and it’s magical residents and visitors. Sir David Attenborough takes the audience on a journey aboard the Alucia, a 56-metre research and exploration vessel equipped with a state-of-the-art Triton submersible, laboratories and a helicopter. Accompanying this series is a state-of-the-art responsive website taking you on an interactive journey round the Great Barrier Reef, and a Virtual Reality dive experience, taking you aboard the Triton submersible side by side with Sir David Attenborough himself. These high-tech elements to the series were especially noted on the Bulldog Awards summary.

The Bulldog Awards are particularly special because, rather than being decided by a small panel, they are voted on by the entire UK TV production community. See the winners and runners up here.

Enormous congratulations to all the team involved in this production, and a huge thank you to all who voted for us.
